On August 08, 2008 we celebrated the groundbreaking of the Contingent Network Services Headquarters’ facility at Eco Tech Park. The groundbreaking took place on the Northwest corner of the 18+ acre lot on one of the most beautiful days this summer. Guests gathered under a tent and listened to the distinguished speakers including local government officials and the design team who share their plans for the facility and hopes of what meaning and opportunities it will bring to the West Chester and Cincinnati communities as a whole. Ground was then broken along the hillside overlooking the view that had originally led us to purchase the land. Following the ceremony guests joined us for lunch and wrapped up the afternoon. Thanks again to all who attended and shared in the experience! Please take a moment and check out the pictures taken at the event as well clips of local news coverage.

WEST CHESTER TWP. – An environmentally friendly office park is planned on 18 acres along Port Union Road here by the owner of Contingent Network Services, a provider of data and voice communications for businesses.”I don’t consider myself an environmentalist, but it just seems the right thing to do and it doesn’t cost a lot of money,” said Mark Stuhlreyer Jr., managing partner of Contingent, which employs about 80.Jeff Wolf, vice president of Everest Group Commercial Real Estate Services, which is marketing the site, said, “It’s a one-of-kind project. I’m not aware of anything similar in the area.”The company plans to seek certification for the building through the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.
In addition to the $3.5 million corporate office and an existing 18,000-square-foot warehouse that Contingent plans to use, the company is marketing two 4-acre parcels flanking its site west of Ohio 747 on a ridge overlooking much of West Chester east toward Interstate 75.
The site is in the middle of an industrial development explosion along Port Union Road west of Ohio 747. The land is adjacent to the under-construction Port Union Commerce Park, which includes two warehouse buildings totaling 840,000 square feet, and overlooks two of BAE Systems’ armoring plants and Amylin Pharmaceuticals’ expansion.
Stuhlreyer’s brother Peter, a Detroit-area architect, is designing the company’s building. Franklin Savings & Loan is providing financing. |
